End of the cataloguing of the Louis Niedermeyer collection

Monday, July 13, 2015

The cataloguing of the Louis Niedermeyer (1802-1861) collection, preserved by the Niedermeyer Foundation in Nyon, was completed by the Swiss RISM office at mid-January 2016. The cataloguing of the manuscript and printed sources has increased the database by 315 entries.

The collection, comprising nearly the whole output of Niedermeyer transmitted as manuscripts and printed editions, is a particularly interesting source of information with regard to the transmission of music and the practice of music publishing in the 19th century.

See the project page for more information about the project in Nyon.
