Digitized sources from Einsiedeln

The number of digitally accessible Swiss music sources in the RISM database is constantly increasing. The digital versions of about 70 Swiss editions of sacred music from the 17th and 18th centuries, which were created within the project “Musik in Schweizer Klöstern” (in collaboration with the University of Fribourg), are now online. As part of the project “Digital Music Unica in Switzerland (D-MUS)”, digital versions of about 250 ‘unique pieces’ from the music library of the Benedictine monastery in Einsiedeln, including about 80 musical autographs and 140 printed editions, whose only existing copy (or only complete copy) is in Switzerland, have been published.
